Gertie became a beloved character of mine several years ago, when she started as a doodle. She has since starred in several mug series and paintings, along with her bff Gilbert. Here we see Gertie participating in her favorite summer activity: gardening.
This mug is handmade on the potter's wheel using a buff stonware clay. Gertie is stamped and then handpainted. The pistachio green glaze is brushed on, and there is a slightly off-white glaze lining the inside of the mug.
Microwaveable, dishwasher safe (hand wash recommended), lead-free and safe for food.
Mug holds approximately 15 ounces.
